Relaxation


One of the most useful skills we can learn in life is the art of relaxation. It is a skill and is different to simply winding down. When practised regularly it is a valuable component of life that really can improve our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. It can help in the treatment of:-

  • Headaches
  • Hypertension
  • Poor sleep pattern
  • Poor breathing
  • Muscular pain in the neck, shoulders and back

In addition to treating physical problems which arise as a result of stress and anxiety it can also help with our overall wellbeing and quality of life in terms of:-

  • Our relationships
  • Our leisure time
  • Our performance at work

I use a variety of techniques such as:-

  • 7/11 breathing
  • Mindfulness
  • Progressive muscle relaxation
  • Guided imagery.
